SIDES: 1.5” deep – The sides are painted black, so no frame is necessary. The painting is ready to hang.
DESCRIPTION: The background is smooth to the touch with layered, slightly streaky shades of golden green. The trees are made of heavy paper beneath translucent layers of gold and copper acrylic. They are finished with black and white highlighting. The ground was painted with a palette knife, using molding paste and paint. This creates thickness and texture, as well as a grooved/cracked appearance.
The entire painting has bits of metallic colors mixed in, to create a warm, glowing effect.
Artist initials are along the bottom side, signature on the back.
Clear varnish has been applied to protect from dust and fading.
**NOTE: THIS PIECE IS VERY SIMILAR TO 'QUIET FOREST,' BUT THE COLORS ARE NOT IDENTICAL. THE GROUND ON THIS PIECE HAS MORE OF A TEXTURED APPEARANCE AND COPPER SHEEN, AND THE BACKGROUND IS SLIGHTLY MORE YELLOW.
