description: This lovely, long-legged brunette posed for a group of us artists recently wearing a lacy black satin slip , a bright tie-dyed scarf and a delicate gold chain around her ankle. She lounges langourously in a rattan armchair, perhaps daydreaming of the islands. I enjoyed painting her wild mane of jet-black curls falling over her shoulder and framing her profile.
This was painted in one three hour sitting at the Los Feliz Figure Painting Workshop in Hollywood, California. on June 27, 2007. I tried to paint her in the style of some of the great pin-up illustrators of the 50's and 60's, so this is not truly vintage but "vintage style".
This pretty pretty brunette is painted with high quality Winsor and Newton Oil Paints on a stretched canvas and measures a generous 18" x 24". This painting is being auctioned unframed, however the standard size canvas would make it very easy to find a frame to fit. The edges of the gallery-wrapped canvas are painted , so that you could hang it unframed, if you so desire.
