This painting is part of my ongoing Lounge series, featuring the female figure in repose. These retain the basic elements of my figurative style: flat planes of color, neutral figures, and sharp contrast. The couch is a central element of the series, appearing in varying colors. Two-tone block shading of the flesh creates a sense of depth and contour. The subtle shades of color add life to my previously neutral pallette. These pieces are bold and modern, yet classic.
