Tara has developed work on plastered wood inscribing a circle within the plaster in which she works. This is called Colorvibe Mandala Tiles. Mandalas are known as sacred geometry or blueprints of creation, an ancient science that explores and explains the energy patterns that create and unify all things.
Acrylic color combinations are applied to the plaster in transparent layers, vibrant, or muted. Tara also carves into the plaster with suggestions of ancient symbols or patterns. Primitive art has been an inspiration to her including the Aboriginal style and cave paintings from all over the world. She believes the marks made over history are universal and collective and we can all relate to them.
*Each Mandala is sealed with a spray wax
leaving the surface with a matt finish.

After the 1st stage of the plaster application, the plaster is sanded and each piece has its own unique plaster dents and character flaws that lend to the over all appearance. A modern stone look is produced along with the painted surface creating a natural and rhythmical design. All work is signed and dated on the back of each piece.
