Description: Daffodils is week #15 of my "year of painting" series.(2003-2004)
Here is the journal entry that goes with the painting.
"This week I wanted to paint light and happy...I really don't like putting away all of my Christmas treasures...the house looks barren...but clean and crisp... I always try to do a big organizing thing during Jan. and Feb...(note the word try...organizing is not one of my strengths) I painted from the wetcanvas copy-write free image lib.(BIG thank-you to Em) I started with one of her beautiful daffodil photos...then changed it around a bit. The subject is something for us to look forward to here in Michigan... come April or May! I planted 250 of these things in the fall and I'm hoping to see quite a display..... If the varmints leave them be!"
"Daffodils" is matted and framed. The painting is "floated" onto acid free matboard then matted and framed with a plain, natural wood frame with acrylic glazing.
The painting is 7.5 x 7.5 inches
The framed painting is 15 x 15 inches.
