This painting was inspired by photographs I took of women waiting in the cold to perform dances at a festival in Hirosaki, Japan. In keeping with the Asian theme, some of the background color was made with green tea. The very simple, clean lines of this painting fit well into both modern and traditional settings.
This is a signed original watercolor on 140# hot press paper. It is matted to a total size of 18 x 24in., ready for a standard sized frame.
