description: I was inspired by the paintings of Asher Durand, an early 20th Century artist. This scene is a compilation of photographs and sketches done in Northern California. I tried to capture the serenity that appears in so many of Durand's work. The watercolor is framed in a gold metal frame that measures 28"Hx36"W. It is framed under plexiglas, rather than glass, because plexiglas is lighter in weight and does not break. It is ready for hanging.
