Description: "Love Secure" seemed like the only title possible for this piece of Fine Art.
This is one of a series of couples and embraces that I created from models in my studio. This piece is on 140lb Arches Hot Press and is a mixed-media technique and includes encaustic (wax and pigment). The paper measures 22" x 14". This piece is not framed.
I began the piece by hand dying the paper and then preparing it for encaustic work. All my work is archival and one of a kind.
The couple are turned away from the viewer, allowing you to be become intimate with the scene. Framing options are limitless! You could open and expose the entire sheet of paper and float frame the piece or mat and expose only the imagery. I work with many clients and designers and am always thrilled with seeing pieces framed and under glass.
The most important factor is to enjoy. I do stretch all my paper, even the 400 pound weight and I staple the edges, I never tape. Some collectors enjoy the process and love to show the staple marks, while others cover that portion with the mat. I will be happy to offer any assistance with mat choice and the framing process.
