Description: "Asian Inspired Birds" is a pencil rendering on 100% cotton rag board that is archival and acid free.
I cannot be positive when I did this, but I believe it to be between 1978-1980.
The bird study is all in graphite with the addition of some gold pigment rubbed edging the one bird and a bit between their tail feathers.
This piece has never been framed. The framing possibilities are limitless and will make this piece a wonderful sized possession.
The actual board (reference to the very heavy paper) measures 17" x 13". Measuring the outermost edges of the pencil work is 12 3/4" x 10 1/4". When framing this piece I would crop in on the board, but do not cut any of the board off. Just allow it to go under the matting you select.
The matting should be at least 3 1/2" wide, but definitely could go larger.
Enjoy, and remember this is an older piece of mine - beginning to reveal my age......
