Description: "Golden Rest" is an oil on prepared hardboard of a portion of a reclining female figure.
The restful pose has her head gently resting on one shoulder and her right arm and hand resting on a pillow. Warm coloration dominate the upper 2/3 portion while cool blues rest under the figure and also repeat in the drape wrapping her hips.
The painted surface measures 13" x 16". I did not want the frame to lip over the edge of the hard board so I mounted the board so that the frame would not lip the surface (zoom in for a closer view. There is a 1/2" space between the painting and the inside edge of the frame.
The frame profile is a gold carved leaf with a wash of gray and measures 1 1/4", and with a side projection of 1 1/2".
The overall Size of "Golden Rest" is 16 1/2" x 19".
