Description: "Seated Ivy in White" is an older encaustic (wax and pigment) on 300 lb archival/acid free paper. This was one of my favorite models many years ago, she had such a wonderful spirit.
Here I captured her at rest, in thought, or watching her playful kitten that would be in the studio. This fine art piece is not framed, but is matted in a neutral coloration.
The mat measures 3 1/2" top and sides with a bottom dimension of 4". The bottom mat should be larger for visual weight.
The image exposed through the opening in the mat is approximately 12" x 10 1/2", however if you choose to change the mat, the fine art paper measures approximately 14 " x 11". This allows you to open the opening of the mat a bit larger. The outside edge of the mat measures approximately 19" x 17".
