I did this painting because I wanted to do one with a view under and above the water and I thought it would be fun to paint some smiling dolphins. I made the setting at the mouth of Mobile Bay where dolphins are frequently sighted. If on second glance, you notice the storm clouds in the upper right and the net float in the foreground and it leaves you feeling a little unsettled, well, I won't try to reassure you.
