Description: Canopy of Passings" is an encaustic on archival/ acid free paper.
In the 1990's I did a series incorporating the leaves as a symbol demonstrating the passing of time with seasons and often using the figure. I still find the series fascinating and hope you do also. You can note this also with "Tension in Passings"
The figure becomes dwarfed by the leaves and the negative space has no real meaning or you can create your own narrative. The coloration is subtle and warm. The figure and the one leaf become absorbed by the negative space coloration.
Enjoy the play of texture and values.
