This piece is acrylic paint with many layers. It is a very dark piece - sort of a deep purple-black with some red coming through, with some glowing lightness coming out from the flowers and the top of the painting. The flowers themselves are scraped out with a knife. Its colour really changes depending on the light, so it was difficult to get an accurate photo. It is coated in a thick, high gloss epoxy resin, so it is very shiny. It is stretched on regular width canvas with painted sides. It is shipped ready to hang.
