This piece comes from a current series of abstract representations of instruments (mainly guitars). Themed after the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," the illustration is built on the design and dimensions of a Hofner hollow electric guitar. Line width ranges from 4mm to .2mm. Each line, and the culminating texture, represents a different point on the scale from light (white) to dark (black), such that certain textures represent certain saturations/depths of color/wood on the original guitar. The stylistic cues for this guitar were designed with the movie in mind, and the lines mostly flow, yet remain organic and pace out their individual textures whilst combining to form the different chromatic ranges. The color accents further represent the theme.
