Description: "Meeting the Moon" is an older Mixed media figurative piece on archival acid free paper.
I have attached a photograph of the entire sheet of paper that reveals my staple marks.
My preference is to stretch my paper and to staple it to my support rather than to tape it. I feel that I get a much better result.
This was another piece I had forgotten about in the studio and pleased to locate it. Everything is stored properly, but I am a prolific painter.
This is a bit reminiscent of "Tattoo" because of the surface handling and coloration and similar to the likes of "Gentle Ivy" in that I like to trail off and suggest the legs, but not a lot of the detail within the legs. I want the legs to carry you to other aspects of the figure compositionally.
The entire piece of the paper measures 30" x 22". The colored area consumes approximately 27" x 19 1/2".
This is not matted. I would put a 6" mat around this piece and then the frame. This will be a very nice size piece when framed for your collection.
