Description: "Echo of Santa Croce" , will probably have an immediate understanding to many of you, but allow me to explain. Santa Croce is one of the many Gothic style architectural structures located in Florence. This basilica became a type of pantheon to great figures of the city's intellectual life. Here you will find the tombs of Dante', Galileo, Machiavelli, Rossini, Ghiberti, and, of course, Michelangelo.
Words cannot explain the impact to stand within this quantum space. I could only stand and try to hear the "echoes". The image inside the mat was inspired by the tomb of Michelangelo, and archival acid free paper measures 18 1/2" x 12". However i would crop in slightly to reveal an image of approximately 16 1/2" x 10".
