Description: I was wondering what it would look like if a flying horse landed on a cart. The precariousness of the situation is interesting. I'm interested in anticipated and arrested motion. I like to make things look like they're moving even though they are static. Maybe if you turn away for a moment the horse could fly away. Beyond the literal vision of what this object is, the symbolism of the situation is even more captivating.The piece is made of wood with mixed media(burlap,canvas, rice paper, wire and hemp twine). It is then fixed with a woodglue and dye mixture. It is then sealed with urethane. It will be shipped in the same custom crates I build to ship my work to Nationally Juried Shows.
