A 2-piece painting, I wanted to present how important butterflies are to cultures all around the world. My research has helped me understand the universal myths and stories of butterflies.
Circular lines in earth tones of beige, gray and dark brown are in front of a raw sienna background. The black and white butterflies are rendered from photos I took at a butterfly conservatory in Key West, Florida, December 2007.
The total canvas area is 8x16 with each piece 8x8.
Fed Ex Ground Service
Original painting is ready to hang with either wire or metal hanger attached to the back.
Painted on all sides.
Requires no frame and canvas is wrapped and stapled from behind. It is not under glass.
Two coats of satin varnish on all of my artwork equals protection from sun and very low glare.
