description: With this piece I wanted alter my perception of what's acceptable reality. Also the precariousness of the situation creates visual tension, an 'inbetweeness'. Its more about changes and what they may bring. Once again, the contrast between the organic qualities of the horse and the geometry of the 'tree' he is climbing opens up alot of questions for me. The sculpture is made out of wood with mixed media (copper wire armature, burlap, canvas, wire, and jute twine). It is fixed with a mixture of woodglue and dye , then sealed with urethane. The piece will then be shipped in a custom-made crate, the same crate I build to ship my work to Nationally Juried Exhibits.
