Description: Abandoned House was created while exploring some remote areas in the Adirondak Mountains of upstate New York. The scene immediately captured my attention as the weathered grey exterior of the house seemed over run by lush green plant life. Upon closer examination, the bright white door just seemed to pop out at me. It was an odd juxtaposition of new and old. The door appears fairly new, while the rest of the house old. Yet the tree growing right in front of the door leads me to believe the place has not been lived in for some time. The pale blue sky reflecting in the remnants of broken out windows also adds some intrigue and color to the image. This photograph is also featured on a 2008 calendar.
This image is printed by me here at my studio. It is an open edition. I use Hahnemuhle Photo Satin Rag fine art paper for it's pleasing color palette and wonderful subtle texture which enhances the textures existing within the actual image itself. I print with Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks for rich vibrant colors and a lifetime of enjoyment out of each image I produce.
Prints are shipped rolled up in a cardboard mailing tube ready for framing. A generous white border allows for various framing and matting options. The prints are made on 17" x 22" paper stock.
As with all my work a personal note from me accompanies each image and it will be signed in pencil on the back of the print.
