This painting is one from my series of "Tree Portraits" and is painted on gallery wrapped canvas (no staples on the sides). This piece is painted using monochromatic Verdaccio for the landscape and sky. Verdaccio is a grey/green with warm brown undertones that the Italian masters of the renaissance used for their under paintings. The only other color appears in the tree.
The edges of the canvas are painted and so it may be hung un-framed if you wish.
This painting ships wrapped in foam and boxed, a method I have used without mishap for many years.
