Description:
Paintings from the Blackout series consist of paintings that are destroys or perhaps recreated and reinvented with the apllication of black paint. The paintings in this series have layer of screenprinted informationa and expressive paint strokes. The information is then primarily covered with black so you are left with windows that leave information of yesterday. Also still aparent is the surface from the history that almost becomes a scarification of the canvas. This painting is part of the black series. A series where history is challenged and destroyed whereas at the same time a new birth of information floats to the top.

This is a painting from the "Blackout" series. The painting is painted with high quality acrylics on a gallery stretched canvas. The size is 40" x 30". This is a paintings contains beautiful, vibrant colors that once existed and are now hidden behind a blanquet of black. A broad abusive bulk of blue intertrupts the space as a new and final element of the painting.

This painting is ready to hang. The edges of the canvas show history of splashes and speckles of paint. I believe the edges are just as important and interesting as the front of the canvas.

The piece is signed and dated by artist, Adam Bledsoe.

The painting is shipped securely in a flat packaging.
