Description: "Homage to Guardi" is a mixed media using an encaustic technique (wax an pigment) and collage methods. All work is done on an archival, acid free, heavy prepared and stretched paper.
This piece was accepted into a recent juried exhibition on reworks of Masters. Encaustic are truly beautiful pieces and unique, and extremly resilient. No artwork should ever be placed in direct sunlight.
"Homage to GuardI" measures approximately 12" x 14 1/2" and is double matted with the mat lifted off the surface of the piece. The mat is buff colored outside with a Heather brown color core on the inside. The mat measures 4" top and side with a bottom mat of 4 1/4".
The overall matted size of "Homage to Guardi" is 19 1/2" x 22".
