Description: River God is the fourth painting in my northern lights series. It is an abstract rendering that seeks to capture this wonder through the eyes of my native ancestors. It was inspired by photos taken of this natural phenomenon (the earth's magnetic field deflecting solar radiation). It is representative of the omnipotent power of nature...small protection those tents, warmth, shelter, happiness, love...to remind us how fragile our place is on this planet. Our own inner glow (creative power) is what protects us from the hostile elements.
