Description: "Birch Lull in Blue" is a smaller oil on a primed 8" x 6" stretched canvas that creates a color block, loose figure study.
This piece is similar to "Birch Moment" and "Birch Moment Recline" and "On the Floor Petite", but also adds more linear elements.
The coloration is inviting and the soft yellow area guides you into the into the seated figure. The canvas measures 8" x 6", and is site framed.
The frame that is included is my preference and I chose to site frame this piece as I did with a number of my smaller abstracts. This means that the canvas sits within the opening of the frame and not held in the frame by the rabbet. This is absolutely such a great look!
The frame choice has a wonderful width with the center area a mottled dark brown/black with golden bronze veining. The frame has an outer and inside edge that is a bead of mat finished gold. The frame width is 2 7/8" with a side projection from the wall of 7/8".
The overall presentation is approximately 13 1/2" x 11 1/2" . This is suitable for wall hanging or to be displayed in a beautiful table easel.
