Description: Oil painting on canvas.
"Strong convictions. Standard Practices. Routine becomes normal. Can we look to different gods?
Of one spinning sphere. In the middle of nowhere. A smack across the face. Redness that lasts. Not by gun or dirty bomb.
We tremble as an afterthought. Tomorrow, today, yesterday, the day before . . ."
This painting's spiritual and a bit scary at the same time for me.
At the risk of sounding absurd, or more piously, of being stoned or stricken from the earth, religion has become a circus, an ideology detrimental to our well being. The very thing meant to bring us together has separated us. Despite our good intentions, we have only ourselves to blame. Unfortunately, it seems we’ll never be like-minded on this topic.
