The rest of the title is, "knows the secret of the Night Eagle". This is a bronze portrait of a young Navajo (Dine) girl who as a young child told me she could fly deep in her heart - because she was visited by an eagle who told her the secret of the night. When she became a teenager, the secret of that mystery began to reveal itself in her eyes. This portrait, seeks to reveal just a touch of that deep spiritual magic. She is an amazing young woman.
The piece is patinaed in copper with cupric green highlights to honor the sacred turquoise of the Navajo and Laguna people of whom Dezba is also related.
