Description: REFLECTIONS ON A TIDAL RIVER: APALACHICOLA RIVER BASIN, FLORIDA. A fiery sunset is an awesome scene to expeience. Especially when you have water available for reflections. I had scouted this location on many evenings and had noticed how, at that particular time of year, the sun set directly behind the hammock of trees in the middle of this tidal creek. I thought that if ever the clouds and conditions were just right, I might be able to get a powerful photograph. It was many trips and sunsets later that my patience was rewarded with this image.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Jean Boles has a simple concept of her work: Endeavor to capture nature's glory as her eyes perceive it. A number of her customers have said that Jean "has a good eye." Fortunately, she also has an innate talent for "seeing the light," a prerequisite for photographers who must literally "paint with light." She uses no special color filters on her camera, and no manipulation is used either during the photography or during the printing process to alter what the eye has perceived.
