The colors and shapes of the horses here lend themselves towards the abstract, I have tried a colorist approach here with the purple and hint of yellow greens found in the sky and wet, muddy pasture that these two horses are trodding in. You can almost hear the soft sucking sounds their hooves make as they have come out after a good rain.
This piece was done in oils on a gallery wrapped canvas, ready to hang without a frame as the painting extends around the edges of this deep framed canvas.
