Description: Oil on Canvas
I stopped here for the bend in the path and the trees that made a tunnel of blossoms. There was a large patch of Cedar trees on the left - going down the mountain - bare of branches except at their tips; They were all in very neat rows - most likely planted after the war as a future source of lumber (in short supply at the time - cheaper from foreign sources in the future) A friendly local bartender - out for a stroll stopped to chat with me briefly - he had to help prepare for the upcoming town festival. I taught 2 of his children at the local schools, so I was a bit unnerved the 2 occassions when I went to his bar and he brought them out to meet me - on my way to getting as drunk as I could. There were some very nice people in that town, but none of them between 16 and 60 years old - a reason to drink, I feel.
This picture is of course - original; It was done at the site/ outdoors. It has my mark on the front and is signed with the title and date on the back. It will be wrapped in plastic (in case of rain) and ship to you in an envelope with a sturdy cardboard backing/ alternately in a cardboard envelope. All you need to do is find the right frame to put it in, and stick it on your wall.
