Description: Oil on Unstretched Canvas
This is one of several pictures I`ve painted from the top of my building`s parking garage. All in all, I`m very fond of all of them! It`s also nice – for a change, to not have to ride my bike uphill several miles to get to where I want to paint.
I remember that I was let out of work early on this day. It was chilly, but the weather was otherwise very nice. I like to try to make the most of moments of good fortune, such as this, so I went outside painting.
There is a fair amount of texture and gloss evident in the paint. I buy the most light resistant/ fade resistant paints, so its quality should last for a loooong time. (I would still try to avoid hanging any painting in direct sunlight.)
All of my pictures are signed and dated on the back, with a small identifying “signature-mark” on the front. I make a habit of sending along any notes/ observations from the time each piece was completed to accompany each piece.
This will ship flat, insured for full value, from the Nagano region of Japan.
All you need to do is fit this in a frame of your choosing, and you can hang it up!
