description: I used many shades of red in creating this work. Next I added gold leaf, rubbing the gold onto the wet paint to meld the colors and texture together. This painting will be shipped unframed, wired for hanging. The painting is on stretched canvas (2 ½ inch thick stretcher bars). I live in Southern Arizona and we have brilliant sunsets here. The colors of the sky, during the setting sun, inspired this piece.
