Description: This very densely quilted piece, made of artist-dyed fabric, was a part of the 2005 Art in American Embassies show curated by Shelly Zegart as a part of President George Bush’s Western European tour. The flower is done in brilliant orange and gold, the stem fading from lime to avocado and even darker greens. It floats visually on a background of very deep purple. Quilt measures 26 inches wide by 60 inches high.
