description: Poweltown is in south eastern Victoria near the end of the Great Dividing Range. In the early part of the 20th century the area was heavily logged. There are several old railway lines that were once used to transport the timber out of the forest to the mills. This image wass taken whils walking along one of those lines.
The scattered timbers in the foreground are old railway sleepers, and the railway used to cross this little creek.
Its a testament to the regenerative powers of nature that much of the forest has grown back. Logging is still allowed in some areas of the forest.
The image was created in 1999.
Location: South eastern Victoria, Australia.
The image is a giclee pigment ink print on 100% cotton rag paper, so will last for 100+ years. It is hand signed in the margin, embossed in the bottom left corner with my Terra Vista logo, discretely titled and numbered (the edition is 100 in this size).
The print will be packages carefully in a double mailing tube to prevent crushing.
I recommend you frame it using acid free, buffered materials.
