These earrings were named for their resemblance to the prayer wheels used by Buddhists.
I create prayer wheel earrings from seed beads with a needle and thread, using a handweaving technique called "gourd stitch" or "gourd stitch".
Materials used include Japanese glass seed beads, Czech firepolished glass beads, sterling silver beadcaps, sterling silver beads, and sterling silver leverbacks.
