Buy Art from Sue Lawrence-Nester: Owl Face
Category: Jewelry » Necklaces

Description:
This necklace is created with silk ribbon, sterling and fine silver.

The silk ribbon was made for me by ThePaintedTiger, a shop on etsy.com. I have added a Bali silver crimp clasp to the ribbon.

I made the bail from fine silver head pins. They pierce the wings then wrap around the silk ribbon.

The 19X28mm owl pendant is made from PMC/fine silver. The owl's head is wreathed by his feathers.

I have only just barely patinaed the owl in places like his eyes, beak, and a few feathers. Then used renaissance wax to seal the entire piece.

If you have a Harry Potter fan in the house, he/she would flip over this pendant.
All purchases are packaged in cotton lined kraftpaper jewelry boxes with the Elements logo on the top of the box. Then wrapped in bubble wrap and sent via Priority Mail. I love your purchases as much as I hope you will.
A simple FYI: Please remember that all jewelry: stones, seedbeads, and metals can and will be effected by sun, lotions, chemicals and such. Such exposures may cause color changes and/or degradation of your jewelry. So be careful and keep your treasures safe!!!!!

PMC: Metal clay is made up of particles of precious metal - pure silver or gold - held together with water and an organic binder. After a metal clay object has been fired with a torch or in a kiln, the water is eliminated and the binder is burned away. What's is left is the pure, precious metal - either fine silver (.999 silver, which is 99.9% silver vs. sterling, which is [see more]
