I have been involved with various forms of art since I was a small girl. At the age of 16, I won recognition in a national drawing contest. Throughout the 1960's I studied with several well-known artist in Southern California, resulting in widespread recognition amongst my colleagues in the San Juan Capistrano Art Association.
In 1968, I married my husband Steve and took a long break from painting in order to raise a family. Now, my children have grown, married, and have families of their own.
I resumed my work by creating oil-based seascapes and floral paintings. However, inspired by the work of Jude Mathis, I began to express myself in watercolors.
I have created a series of seascapes with vivid and bold strokes of color. Inspired by the appraise of my friends and colleagues, I continued to refine my watercolor techniques. I now have developed a controlled approach to my work. The brush allows me to project a beautiful harmony in a understandable manner.
I am the president of the Canyon Lake Art Association, a member of the Riverside Art Museum, and the Temecula Arts Council. Through my family, friends and colleagues, I continue to grow and find new ways to express myself. [
