DOWN IN NEW ORLEANS......
I am witnessing a new expansion of New Orleans. We have long had
great food and music, we are upcoming in theatre and now film. Our art has
largely been centered around Mardi Gras and Old World themes................
But alas, the first biennial international art exibit "Prospectus I" is here
and we are entering upon a whole new horizon of art - one full of new ideas,
ways of visualizing, and change.

and we are entering upon a whole new horizon of art - one full of new ideas,
ways of visualizing, and change.
My newest paintings are an exploration of our city's growth spurt and
change, and of our contribution to our nation and even beyond. The vertical
patterns are a symbol of our significant growth and the curvilinear lines represent
our dependence on one another,our natural resources and how we can move to a
greater good for our city and beyond.
My favorite landscape images of water,trees and birds remain....but in
my abstracts, shape, color, and movement are key. [
