I have always had a passion for art, nature, and animals. I received a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art from Bard College in New York in 1981. My subjects include landscapes, wildlife, and horses. I bring my camera and paints with me on long walks as I look for something special that catches my eye, and then I finish the work in the studio. I am constantly seeking to balance the abstract quality of the paint with the visual expression of what I see in my subject. I am constantly drawn to the quiet mystery of light, shadows, shapes and colors of the natural world and the creatures that reside there. My goal is to share my inspiration and appreciation with whoever stops to look at my art.
