As is the case with most artists, I became interested in art at a young age. Both the junior high and high schools I attended had extensive art programs that I took full advantage of. My original intention was to make art my college major, but a love of music won out and I graduated with a B.A. degree in Music Theory and Composition.
After college, life became busy with marriage, kids, and a career, and art slipped into the background. But, years later, the dream to pursue my love of art resurfaced. I began on a course that included private study with UC Berkley Art School graduate Joseph De La Cruz, workshops, and independent study that focused primarily on traditional oil painting techniques.
Twenty years later, I enjoy spending my free time painting. I have won numerous awards, and have paintings hanging in collections across the country.
My wife and I presently make our home in California's Central Valley. [
