I am a self-taught watercolorist. I have traveled a great deal in my life both for work and for fun and I became motivated about eight years ago to paint some of the many sights, colors, and beautiful scenery I've encountered while traveling.

I am especially inspired by birds in their natural environment and by nature in general. Even the abstract works I have recently completed reflect elements of plants, forests, or animals. Conversely, I also enjoy painting cityscapes as well because of the busy movement and the variety of colors and energy in them.
I have painted stylized portraits of people and I am constantly looking for new and better ways to create interesting figures. I have recently found painting portraits of people's pets to be great fun and welcome commissions to create pet portraits.
