Although I started my creative life taking photographs and printing black and white prints, I felt the entire process took too long and lacked immediacy. That is when my affinity for painting with acrylics took shape. It allowed an immediacy and spontaneity that really suited me. I use a variety of means to apply paint to the canvas...poured!!!, sponges, brushes and other found items. My work reflects my interest in the interplay of colors and the sense of movement that the paint brings forth. My Art work is abstract and to be enjoyed for its color and movement
What happened to my love for photography? I bought a digital camera, talk about being immediate! With my photography I also tend to take (what I call) abstract photographs. They leave one guessing, what one is really looking at. I also take more conventional photographs. (Watch for a folder with photographs coming soon!)
