In the 90’s I wrote screenplays and a novel. In 2006 I painted for the first time. The absolute freedom that came with creating something immediate was a joy I had never felt before. Finding what I wanted to do for the rest of my life was quite an overpowering experience.
My work cannot be classified into one category. One day, I’ll start an acrylic abstract that will morph into a surrealistic piece. The next day, that same acrylic abstract may become the background for an oil portrait. I feel that my lack of any formal training allows me to wander and evolve artistically without breaking any “rules”. My love of vibrant colors guides me. My hope is that the art will be inspirational and sometimes thought-provoking. But most importantly, I endeavor to create art that makes people feel good. My contribution is bringing a little color to a world that can, sometimes, be dark and dreary. [ hide] |
