My name is Marianne Elson Griffith and I have been painting and showing my work here in Anchorage, Alaska for 13 years. In the beginning I was a ceramic artist, painting on my Mother's beautiful, hand thrown pottery. Our pottery has traveled all over the U.S. and many other countries. We made thousands of pieces in our partnership together! About 5 years ago I began experimenting with acrylics and oils on canvas. I was hooked! I have been painting and showing canvas paintings ever since. I even have an Anchorage Museum award under my belt. I am an associate member of Oil Painters of America and a member of The daily Painters Guild.
