I grew up in Akron, Ohio where as a young man, I was exposed to a variety of cultures.
I spent many cold winters painting and camping with my Boy Scout troop, as an Eagle Scout my sense of outdoors and surroundings were brought to life in my drawings and paintings. After graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, I worked as a graphic artist in Annapolis, Maryland. I then went to earn a BS in Art Education from the University of Akron. I participate in art shows throughout Southeastern North Carolina. As a high school art teacher, I take pleasure in helping educate the artists of tomorrow.
Artist Statement
As an artist, I want the viewer to be moved by the images he creates which is born from a single image, one train of thought; like a seed planted to enlighten its own idea. A stream of a theme that flows from the conscious mind to the aimless and limitless possibilities of imagination. The interrelationship of form and balance regulates the rush of a multitude of possible paths to the ultimate outcome. A single vision composed of the antithesis of the silent letter, the one idea. The attention to color and movement is a testament to creativeness and emotion that I put into my painting. [
