A native Texan, Graphic Design has been my driving force as my vocation. After graduation from college I made a conscious decision to follow the almighty dollar, put aside my training as a fine artist and went the commercial art route. Fresh out of college, attempting to make a living as a fine arts painter is tantamount to economical suicide. Forming Jim Ellis Graphic Design Inc., I enjoyed a successful career. Having run that race, I'm now going back to my education, painting. Color and texture have always been exciting to me and the majority of my pieces will reflect this. My work ranges from sheer abstract to impressionistic, to realistic. It is my hope that one of these styles will please you.
