I did some leadlighting before I had children, but only as a hobby and for friends. Now my youngest child is well into the school system, I discovered a different way to create something beautiful using glass.

I did some leadlighting before I had children, but only as a hobby and for friends. Now my youngest child is well into the school system, I discovered a different way to create something beautiful using glass.
I started this as a hobby, but as the house is starting to fill up with torsos, I decided to sell through a well known site, but thought that people looking for art would be looking at an art site.
I enjoy making these, and try to make different styles for each one so no two are alike. By the time I am half way through, I am thinking "sick of this" but it is like an addiction, and as I get closer to finishing, it gets really exciting because until the grout goes on, it is hard to see just how it will look finished.
As soon as I finish one, I get the bug to start the next one. I will do these for as long as I enjoy them, and as long as my back holds out. Sitting for hours takes its toll, but I get quite involved, and time slips by. When I get up, I realise that I am aching all over.
Some of these I would be sad to part with, but I would love others to share the enjoyment I get from looking at them.
I have just now had a call from the local free newspaper who are coming around tomorrow to take photos and write something about my work. I am soooooo excited. [
