Both of my parents are creative in their own way and have always stimulated me and my brother in our creative expressions. This resulted in us both going to the art academy. At the faculty of fashion illustrations in Breda I graduated in 1995. Together with my brother I started a design and illustration company. We created house styles for companies and many illustrations for magazines. After a few years I decided to go my own way and do something very different. A couple of years ago I started painting again. It appeared that my passion had not yet left me.
Back when I made illustrations I was fascinated by fashion and fashion photography; the pictures, the colours, the frames, the models etc. To this day, all of this inspires me. More and more I know that painting is the way for me to express myself and that I need it. I hope that when people see my work it will make them a little bit happier. I am not an artist who wants people to see the meaning behind my paintings. I like for everyone to draw there own story from what they see in it. For me my paintings are more than just nice looking polychrome pictures.
