When I was a little girl I used to love creating my own paper dolls and playing with Barbies. Now I’m doing it in the computer!

My art is very much influenced by both pop culture and my dreams. Sometimes I dream about pop culture! Living in the heart of the trendiest part of L.A., just off the Sunset Strip, I am exposed every day to some of the most beautiful people in the world (everyone comes here to be an actor or model!), new trends, huge stunning billboards, pop culture as it’s being created, decadence, weirdness, and extreme superficiality and narcissism to the point that it’s fascinating. Like life here, my art tends to be oversaturated, brighter, more intense than real life because “real” life is over-rated anyway!

And this leads into my dreams... I've had lucid dreams (when you know you are dreaming WHILE you are dreaming) since I was a baby in my crib, and I know I'd be different without them. Sometimes "real" life seems surreal to me and sometimes I wonder if THIS is just another dream or alternate dimension. I keep thinking I'm going to wake up from this "life" to being "awake" somewhere else. The colors in my dreams are oversaturated too. More intense than anything I’ve seen awake. And I’ve seen a lot awake!

I call my art “Wonderland Art” because life does often feel like a surreal Wonderland, full of surprises at every turn, always an adventure, sometimes surreal and always fascinating!
